Carousel widget not altering the amount of slides displayed on desktop

Hello, in order to adjust the amount of slides displayed on a page, I followed the documentation supplied at rigin.
Displaying Desktop Slides
The number of slides to display on the desktop

However, even though I have selected two’slides to show,’ the desktop still displays three slides. The tablet and phone both function well.
