Hi, using SiteOrigin editor, I can no longer switch between ‘Visual’ and ‘Text’ editing modes. Visual mode appears empty. This has never been an issue before. I tried clearing the cache.
Hi Vu
Thanks for posting your question.
Please, try checking for a working baseline. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder (if you’re using it) and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Does the issue persist with only Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle activated?
Hi Andrew, that did not work.
Hi Vu
Thanks for your reply.
To confirm, the issue persists with all plugins deactivated except for Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle? Was Embed Plus deactivated during the test?
Yes, everything has been turned off.
This is a new issue. I have used SiteOrigin for years.
Hi Vu
Thanks for confirming. There is an open issue with the Embed Plus plugin. I would have thought the issue would have been resolved with that plugin temporarily deactivated. Perhaps it isn’t the issue. To be sure, you can go to the settings page for the Embed Plus YouTube plugin and locate the Compatibility page. Enable all the options except for the last one. Does the issue then resolve?
Hi Andrew,
Yes, this fixed it! Does this have any front end implications?
Thanks!
Glad to hear that helped.
I’m not familiar with the plugin. One user mentioned that one of the compatibility options removes a feature they were using. Try checking your videos to ensure all is in order.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/ is an option if you’d like to easily roll the Embed plugin back to a previous version.
