cant show a custom sidebar

I have Vantage PremiumVersion: 2.2.3 and dont do code or understand it. I downloaded a Easy Custom Sidebars plugin so that I could add a new sidebar for the new woo commerce shop I am starting. Unfortuately could not get the “shop” sidebar I created, to be added to woo shop page, I have tried a hundred times and the page will only allow displaying the standard Sidebar as per same for the whole site.
When I created the custom side bar and added i.e. product categories widget by dragging and dropping the widget across to the shop sidebar, I thought at least that was done. I wanted the shop sidebar to replace the theme sidebar but there is nowhere on the shop page (when editing), to call out and use the sidebar.I now have the categories widget showing inside the left body content area of the page – this is not what I wanted.
