Can’t seem to get icons in the side bar

Hi,

I am using the influence theme and it is a beautiful theme. Thank you. I am trying to use icons in the sidebar for social media. I have tried 4 different plugins (4 of the best free plugins) and eventually tried html code and nothing seems to work. Can you please help?

    I just tried: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-social-icons/ and it is working well on my side. Perhaps give that plugin and widget a spin.
