Can’t Open SiteOrigin Hero Widget

10 years ago · Last reply by Dawn Hutchins 10 years ago

I can’t open the SiteOrigin Hero widget. When I click to alter it, it continues to act like it’s thinking and never opens. The other widgets open right up so I can alter them.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? I’m working on it for a client, The Garden Produce, and am building it on .net……

    Hi Dawn

Thanks for reaching out! Hrmm, very strange. So does it show the little spinny wheel, then just turn into a blank dialog, or does the spinny wheel just stay there?

Can you check if you’re getting any Javascript errors?

Yes the little spinny wheel and that’s it, it just keeps on spinning.

    I’ll check.

    Hi Dawn

If it’s not too much hassle, can you try running a plugin conflict test for us?

Try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

Ha that worked. It must be one of the other plugins.
