I was in the middle of writing this support thread and I found a solution to the problem. It turns out that Wordfence was blocking it all along. Strange how it only blocked two specific instances. I’ll post the original thread anyway in case anyone else has had this issue – I just whitelisted the blocked action via Wordfence.
So I’m not able to edit two hero widgets at the top of my page. Clicking ‘Edit’ brings up the edit window for about 1/4 a second
before taking me to another page. This doesn’t happen with other widgets from what I can tell, both on the homepage and on other
pages. Other Hero widgets on the homepage and other pages also work fine.
So I start by clicking ‘Edit’ on either of the two pictured widgets
This window comes up very briefly, before I can even do anything with it.
Then I get an empty window, apart from a print of the current server date and time. I can’t do anything with it and the url
doesn’t change so going back just shows me a list of all the pages again.
