Can’t access dashboard

Hi
Sorry to bother you but I just tried to make changes to my website. When I usually go to http://rossgardens.co.uk/wp I can access the dashboard to make changes. However, for some reason today the dashboard isn’t available. Do you know why this might be?

Another question if I could, please could you tell me how to make the site live? When I go to http://rossgardens.co.uk my website doesn’t show. I’m new to this so not sure if it’s currently being hosted by WordPress or ASmallOrange, my hoster.

I have Vantage Premium but I can’t put the order number in the box below as I can’t access it from the dashboard…

Many thanks
Ross

    Hi Ross

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Not sure what might have happened there. Your login url is:

    http://rossgardens.co.uk/wp/wp-login.php

Your site is in a folder /wp. To get it loading in your root you’d need to move it. It’s a quick move but a lot of care must be taken.

    Thanks Andrew

    Login working now.

So as I understand it my WordPress website is currently on my host and I need to change it from being in a folder (/wp) to being on my root (www.rossgardens.co.uk).

I can follow the instructions you kindly sent, but not sure how to do No.8:
“Move your WordPress core files to the new location. This includes the files found within the original directory, such as http://example.com/wordpress, and all the sub-directories, to the new location.”

Could you please tell me how to do this?

Sorry for so many questions but as always your assistance is much appreciated!
    Cheers
    Ross

No problem. You could move those files using either FTP (Filezilla) or your hosting file manager.
