Cannot edit a page at all after publishing

I am brand new to wordpress so im kind of faking my way through this as i figure it out.

Im building just a static website for the company i work for, but i need to make edits frequently. I spent a day building a category page, with images and links and everything, but now i need to go back and make some link edits. and Page Builder is gone, it has a menu bar, but nothing is click-able, and i can’t edit this page at all.

Is this normal? or am I doing something wrong. Im kind of lost here.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Brian

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if that fixes the issue? You definitely should be able to edit pages after you create them.

Also, can you check that you’re running the latest version of Page Builder? It should be on version 2.0.2. You can check in the plugins section.

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for the prompt reply, I have deactivated everything and individually reactivated and checked, and nothing has worked, i am fully up to date on all plugins and word press.

This seems to happen only after i publish the page ( I forgot to mention that)

Would the theme have something to do with it?

I am running “BlackBird Pro Responsive Theme”

    Hi, I Work Here

Some themes do add their own Javascript that can interfere with Page Builder. Can you try temporarily switching to a default theme like Twenty Twelve and check if you’re still getting the issue? This will tell us if it’s theme related.

Ok, I activated Twenty Twelve and i still can’t edit anything, it won’t let me click status, or visibility, or add media, just like before i switched themes.

If you send me over some temporary admin details, I can check this out. Just email them to [email protected]. Please be sure to reference this thread in the email, we often get login details and have no idea which thread they’re related to :)

    Hi, I Work Here

So from the looks of things there’s a fatal error coming up on your edit page. Do you by any chance have access to your PHP error logs? You should be able to ask your web hosts for this. Seeing this error would be a huge help in figuring out what’s causing it.

Thanks for your patience Brian – hopefully we can get this figured out ASAP.

Im looking into it right now.

Not sure if this helps, but from the “all pages” section i can checkbox the page, select edit from the action menu, and change it to draft from there, and then go in and re edit… but that is a lot of unnecessary clicks i feel like.

I had my web tech look into the PHP error logs, and he found the solution, this was his response:

“I had to disable the include_once_override for the APC cache.”

Hope this helps anyone else that is having the same issue
