Hi
Thanks for all your work,
i’ve an issue about buttons. It only allows me to choose style among simple and i can’t make anymore “tuning” of the buttons..
That’s so emabarassing !
(obviously I can enter name and link, and position in the page (justify,center..) ) But I don’t have all the useful options I saw in the demo :( It’s like if I were running a lite version..?
do you know how can i Fix it?
thanks !

(I’m using the CORP. Theme for business )
Hi Jeanne. Before we dive in can I quickly confirm, when you inserted the widget was it called:
SiteOrigin Button OR Button (PB)?
Button (PB) is the bundled button widget that comes with Page Builder, SiteOrigin Button is our new widget that is installed as a plugin. A bit confusing for sure but unfortunately the nature of an evolving project.
Hi thanks for your reply
Actually when I try to insert a button in PB it is written : ” Button (Origin)”
So you’re probably right, but how can I make it work?I tried to add the plugin and it was told me that it was yet installed then I tried to delete it and reinstall it once, but without any success :(
Thanks !
Head to Dashboard > Updates and update everything that’s available to be updated.
Head to Plugins, ensure Page Builder is installed.
At plugins check that Button Widget by Greg Priday installed, the description should read: A powerful yet simple button widget for your sidebars or Page Builder pages.
Go to a page, click on the Page Builder tab, click the + button to insert a widget and search for Button. Search for “SiteOrigin Button”, that is the name of the widget. Enter your text etc. and save the widget then save the page.
If you aren’t able to complete the above try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if the issue is caused by a plugin conflict.
That works !
Thanks andrew for your kind help !
Oops I’ve been a little too fast…
That’s work nearly perfectly, the nearly is about the text color. It’s always grey !
I can put in red or white, that’s always grey :(
Please send me a link to a page with the button inserted and I’ll take a look.

sorry I put son spaces but the URL must not be communicated or indexed in google :)
thanks
The issue is that this theme is using a wildcard * which applies #666666 to everything. Not exactly best practice. At a glance I’m afraid I can’t see a way to easily override the theme’s styling to let the button take precedence.
Sorry I don’t have more.
ok thanks that’s a theme problem then..
maybe i can get rid of this wildcard don’t you think?
it should be in the css of the theme?
I don’t have a quick answer here unfortunately. The wildcard is the asterisk in your stylesheet in this selector:
Just that first line including the comma. If you remove it, it could affect other styling, you’d have to check. The issue with doing it this way is that it will come back the next time you upgrade the theme.
Ok i’ll get a try
thank you so much :)
For sure.
Good afternoon, all:
I just installed the SiteOrigin Button widget (for my WordPress website).
The button works just fine.
However, I want to enter a “relative” URL as it’s Destination URL.
My website is built such that I’m working on a development location. I push the site up onto the formal webserver when I’m ready to go public with the content. So, the Destination URL in my development site will be different than the Destination URL I will need for the production site.
For all my other links, I am pointing them towards “../something or other”. However, when I try to just type in “../something or other” as the Destination URL for the SiteOrigin Button, some behind-the-scenes code automatically inserts “http:\\”… and, it screws up the link.
Does that make sense? Can I over-ride, or suppress the auto-insert of “http:\\”?
Thx for any insight.

Hi CJinMadison
Unfortunately not at this stage. I’ll definitely suggest this but for now you will need to change your button widget urls when going live.
Please keep in mind that at the moment Page Builder content only correctly migrates via WordPress > Tools > Export and does not move well via database import/export.
If you’d like to ask anything further in this regard please open a new thread.
Thanks
