Bringing back SiteOrigin editor on WP

By cmussa, 1 year ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 1 year ago.

Hi,

I logged into my website earlier this week to post some updates on the home page, and I see that the SiteOrigin editor is gone (along with all the formatting and visuals I had created). How do I bring it back? I made sure that the SiteOrigin plugin is up to date, and I have the Classic Editor also installed.

I used SiteOrigin for every page of my website, not just the home page, so I need to bring it back. I currently have WP 6.1.1 installed. Can someone help?

Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

Please, try seeking a working baseline. Does the issue resolve if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle?

    Hi,

I just tried, and nothing happened. It didn’t resolve the issue. I don’t have any plugin called Page Builder, though. What else can I try?

    Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for trying. To confirm, the issue persists with only SiteOrigin plugins activated?

    That’s correct.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for checking. Do you know how the Page Builder interface was previously loaded if Page Builder isn’t installed?

I’m not sure. Should I download a Page Builder plugin?

    Hi, I Work Here

Perhaps you can take a screenshot of the issue as it’s presented and upload it to imgur.com or WeTransfer, or any online location and share the link? If Page Builder isn’t installed, I’m unsure what the following might be:

SiteOrigin editor is gone (along with all the formatting and visuals I had created).

If we could perhaps take a look at a screenshot of the issue, that might help.

    Thanks

It’s hard to take a screenshot of the issue, since the issue is the editing page itself. The SiteOrigin builder is gone, and now I’m just presented with the regular WP editing page, which only gives me Visual and HTML as editing options. Since the SiteOrigin builder is not appearing on the Edit page, all the formatting I had set up for my page is not there. All the elements are now appearing as blocks on top of one another, rather than the columns, etc I had going with SiteOrigin.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. The functionality described is provided by Page Builder by SiteOrigin. Page Builder will need to be installed and activated.
