How do i bring the page down when i click on the 1st button [Join Now] and it scroll down to the [Contact Us] button?
Hi Altis,
Preface: I’m going to make a couple of assumptions in this post. Please correct me if my assumptions were incorrect.
You can do this via a fragment link. Please open the first button and set the destination URL to #contact-us then open the contact us button and scroll down and open the Other attributes and SEO layout settings group. Set the button id to contact-us then save.
Now when the user clicks the join now button the browser will instantly move to the contact us button. If your would like the browser to appear a little higher up, try setting the row id instead. Please remove the contact-us class from the second button and open the row that houses that button by clicking the wrench icon above it. Head over to the row styles sidebar and open the Attribute settings group and set the row id to contact-us
Let me know if this helps.
hey i dont really understand what you are writing about?!
Hi Altis,
Sorry, I’m likely way off. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Partnership page
The button Find Out More once clicked, scroll down to the contact us section below.
Hi Altis,
Okay, so my advice is valid in that case.
Basically, I provided instructions on how to set a fragment link. A fragment link will allow you to automatically scroll the browser to a point on the page.
A simpler version of what I previously wrote is:
To do this, you simply need to set the “Find Out More” button URL to #content-us and then set the corresponding contact us section’s row id to contact-us. To do this, please open the row by clicking the wrench icon and then head over to the row styles sidebar and open the Attribute settings group. Set the row id to contact-us
Does that make sense?
Hi Alex
I fully appreciate your time and patience and i fully understand your english.
But i totally cannot understand your instructions…
I m totally lost with all your technical jargon
Hi Altis,
Could you please clarify what you don’t understand so I can elaborate in less technical terms? Please disregard my initial reply and focus purely on my follow up reply.
Alex
i am saying i seriously do not understand what you are writing about, and i cannot understand the your meaning in your instructions.
What is fragment link?
What is section’s row id?
what do u mean by open the row by clicking the wrench icon?
What is head over to the row styles sidebar?
What open the Attribute settings group?
Please understand that i am not technically inclined
But when i watch the video or google how to create a page jump on wordress their instruction are clear and specific.

Hi Altis,
Okay, I understand. Let’s start fresh.
Open the [Join Now] button widget settings
Set the Destination URL to #contact-us
#contact-us will allow us to create a page jump.
Scroll down to the row that holds the contact us widget and click the wrench icon above the row.
Open the Attributes settings group in the row styles sidebar.
Set the Row ID to contact-us
No it is not working after following your specific instructions.
Hi Altis,
You applied the row id to the wrong row. As mentioned:
Scroll down to the row that holds the contact us widget and click the wrench icon above the row.
This means that you need to apply the row id to this row:

No it just not workingIt doesn't go down to my target location on the page
Hi Altis,
I just checked your code again and it looks like you haven’t moved the ID to the contact us row. You’ll need to make this change or this will not work.
What is ID?Where is it????
Hi Altis,
As mentioned:
Scroll down to the row that holds the contact us widget and click the wrench icon above the row.
Open the Attributes settings group in the row styles sidebar.
Set the Row ID to contact-us
Alex this is not working for me
I followed all your instructions but this aint working!!!!!
Hi Altis,
Sorry, I forgot to say that you’ll need to remove the row id on the first row. To do this please follow the above steps but instead of opening the contact us row, open the row that contains the [join now] button.
Alex I don't know what you are writing about… It seems only you can understandÂ

Hi Altis,
You set the row id for two rows. The second row is the correct row, but it won’t work if the first row has contact-us selected. You need to remove the row id on the first row.
Could you please tell me your native Language and if there’s anyone else you can get to read these messages as you seem to be having a very hard time understanding.
Alex
I am English educated and i can read and speak perfect English
But your command of English in terms of giving support to a non-technical man in the street leaves much to be desired.
You should be more specific in terms of how you give advice and instructions.
You should have told me to set the row ID of the Button widget etc. and a row ID for the target location of the page.
I dont think anybody would understand the way you write something as below…."the first row id or 2nd row".
Which row? on which page? on which widget are you talking?????
By the way i have remove it from the Button widget row ID and still it not working…..
I am now terribly disappointed and frustrated trying to resolved this little issue with no progress.
I suggest you refer my case to someone senior with better communication skills.
Thank you
Hi Altis
Very sorry to hear you’re frustrated. I’d like to remind you that you’re posting on our free support forums. The help you’ve been getting from Alex has been free of charge.
Page Builder is a technical product, that requires a fair amount of technical knowledge. Especially when it comes to things like page anchors. We do our best to explain things, but if you feel things are too technical then I’d suggest hiring someone to do the work for you. That’s going to save you a lot of time.
You could give Codeable a try. There are a lot of people who will be very familiar with Page Builder on there.
Alternatively, you can try one of our Site Packs – https://siteorigin.com/pack/ – the huge advantage here is you get a prebuilt website and then all you have to do is edit the content. This is great if you can make your site fit into the designs and layouts we provide.
