Blog widget in the page aditor ??

Hi team,

I’ve just installed Infinty theme, using yrou page builder, and I’m afraid to not find any way to publish a single posts category on a page : is the page builder complete, or still in beta ???
How could we select the posts we want on a page, and not only have the wordpress-build-in blog page ?

Thanks for your help, I’m afraid of the lack of this builder functionnality :(

Thanks !

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Raphaël

Depending on the templates available from the theme you might be able to use the Post Loop widget. Insert an argumnet into the Additional field of that widget:

    cat=x

Where x is the ID of the category you’d like to filter.

The Carousel widget in our Widget Bundle has an easier interface for filtering which posts are displayed by the loop: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/

    Hello Andrew,

I just put a Post Loop widget on my page builder, and I probably didn’t set up my template for that, because the only message I get is “Your theme doesn’t have any post loops.”

Do you have any idea of the issue I’m experiencing ?

    Thanks !

    Hi, I Work Here

The Post Loop widget looks for templates as follows:

    content-*.php
    *-content.php
    loop-*.php
    *-loop.php

    * is a maverick, it could be any name. If the theme doesn’t have any templates with these names then the widget unfortunately doesn’t have anything to use for formatting.

We do have a Carousel widget that’s part of our Widget Bundle that you could check out: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/. It only has the Carousel format. You can filter by category by searching for that category name when setting the widget up.
