This is driving me crazy. I am running some third-party widgets on a page (right now it’s a test page), but the page loads as a blank page until you hit refresh. I’ve read that it could be a cache issue, but I have no idea how to resolve it.
Would I need to modify wp-super-cache in anyway?
Hi Chris
You are right, this does look like a cache problem. The first thing to try would be to clear the cache created by wp-super-cache. Go to the cache settings and click delete cache. If that does not work please try disabling it.
Hope this helps

Magus,
I’ve tried both several times. The odd thing is, I have two test pages that display the same data. One uses their widgets protocol and the other uses iframes. The iframes test page loads instantly. It’s the widgets page that requires a browser refresh.
I would share my page url but I’m reluctant to keep posting my website url in light of Google’s stance on forum links (and I’m even scared of nofollow — lol) After 12 years in the biz, Google has me scared to drop my urls anywhere “unnatural”. I would be happy to show you my two test pages if you have the interest and the time to glance at them, via a private message. Or, if you know the site that I own (previous posts), just use file names example.com/test and example.com/forecast-test to see the two test pages. It’s up to you, if you would like to look at them. You are so knowledgeable so I value your input. On the other hand, it’s Friday night, and you may want to relax. :)
To me it’s a very strange phenomenon, and I just wonder if I it’s related to the theme.
Hi Chris
It’s Saturday morning for me here and apart from some household duties (wife’s at work} I have nothing to do. I will have a look and get back to you.
I did notice that your home page is looking a bit strange as well. If you have not made a significant change then it may be related.

I fixed the home page. I was using a plugin to compress my images and I guess it messed up my theme. I deactivated it and now it is back to normal.
Hi Chris
It is looking like this is being caused by an error in the add to any script which is handling the social network icons at the top of your pages. Please try disabling this plugin and test the pages again
Magus
Hi again Chris
In the end I believe this may be related to wp-cache which is minifying a lot of the js and css files. When these are minified it can cause problems, which is why some developers only minify some of the scripts they use. Also please try disabling this plugin.
When I first loaded the pages they both loaded correctly. On a refresh they both came back as blank pages. The debug error points to an issue with the social media addon, but I did notice that the minified version of the wp-emoji script does not have a properly formatted closing tag so the whole page is being treated like a javascript instead of a web page.

Magus,
I’m not sure what wp-emoji is. I looked it up on Google, and it doesn’t looks familiar. I also disabled the addtoany plugin last night, cleared cache, cleared the browser, and tried loading again with no success. I’ve also had addtoany deactivated for those test pages for a long time. I am at a loss to be honest.
and strangely enough, the pages are loading for me today.
Hi Chris
I did keep an eye on your site yesterday and did spot that as soon as you had disabled the wp-super-cache plugin your page loaded every time, It looks like this was the cause of the problems
