    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Daltonator18,

Unfortunately, this isn’t something that can be done using CSS. To clarify, autoplaying videos require very specific markup to work on mobile devices or the browser simply won’t play them. To clarify, what sort of video are you trying to autoplay? Does it need sound? If so, there’s sadly no way to get that video to play on mobile devices as one of the requirements is that the video is muted (if it’s muted).

Thanks for your reply. No, there is no sound needed. It’s just a 1 minute “hype” video about the site. Can this be done fairly simply?

    Hi Daltonator,

Maybe. it really depends on how the video is being added. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Daltonator18,

Unfortunately, the video code you’re using isn’t set up to play on mobile. You’ll need to use an alternative widget designed with autoplaying on mobile in mind. Sorry mate. :(

That’s a bummer. Any suggested widgets?

    Hi Daltonator18,

Unfortunately, we’re not very familiar with popups with autoplaying video plugins so we’re unable to make a specific suggestion at this time. Sorry mate. :(
