are there any recommendations for page builder

Hi

I googled a bit an looked around this site, but could not find any recommendations for WP and servers.
Our customer uses a “bit” old system: WordPress-Version: 5.1.1; PHP-Version: 5.4.45

We also use the Classic Editor.

So I have damaged interfaces in the Editors, for example no title-field and so on…
Today I deactivated all other plugins and the errors persist.
I perhaps can try an WP update and revert it afterwards, but I cant change the php version.

Do you have any recommendations, tips, ideas?

Thanks and regards,
Tom

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tom

Are you perhaps able to bring the PHP version up the WordPress minimum support version, 5.6.20. It would probably resolve the issues mentioned without introducing new problems.

    Hi Aaron

    thank you for your answer.

I managed to get the php updated to 5.6.40, but the errors stay.

    Thanks and regards

    Hi Tom

The current WordPress version is 5.2.2. Are you sure you’re using 5.4.45?

    Hi, I Work Here

It sounds like you’ve updated PHP to 5.6.40 and are using WordPress 5.1.1 unless you’ve updated since posting this thread.

If you are still seeing SiteOrigin Page Builder errors, try running a plugin conflict test as follows:

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

ahm, yeah, sorry oO – 5.1.1 still is the WP Version :)

I did that before and disabled all plugins and had the same problems with Page Builder.

And i also thought about the theme, but its a custom made variant of “flexia” – and the problem is only in the backend – so I thught the impact by themes is not really relevant there.
But I tried that and switched to twentynineteen – and the BE works with Page Builder as it should.
So I think I will have to push our developers to find that

    Thank you and regards,
    Tom

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the feedback.

I recommend your developers enable WP_DEBUG and then try backtrace each error to hopefully, locate the source of the issues.
