Amazon Affiliate in WordPress: JS vs iframe; banners & item links; centering

I installed an Amazon Affiliates banner as an iframe. I’ve since learned that maybe JS is better. Should I used JS or an iframe; which would render better on a mobile device? And, once I have the code, how do I center it (the banner) on the page? I’m using SiteBuilder by SiteOrigin on the first page, and then I just use visual/text editor for the blog posts. I already have a Ninja footer on each of my blog posts for social media links and a call-to-action to comment. My theme is ShopStar. I hope I have provided enough relevant information. I’m looking for best practices for a banner on the first page, and three or four item links in a row under each blog post. I am still new to WordPress, and though I have some experience with HTML, CSS is a mystery to me.
