All pages displaying on Home page

So, I installed Woocommerce, bbPress, and Users Ultra plugins, in that order. I activated them and set them up in order as well.

Users Ultra created some pages (Login, Sign Up, My Account, View Profile, Members Directory), and when I refreshed my Home page, I found all of the Users Ultra pages displayed on my Home page!

I tried editing the Users Ultra pages Parent setting to “Home”, but it didn’t help.

I’ve deactivated all the plugins for now, but the pages still show on the main page in plain text only (obviously because I haven’t deleted the pages Users Ultra created).

Can you please advise?

Just a follow up, I thought it might have something to do with the page order, but after setting Home to 1, and the other pages to 2,3,4,etc… respectively, there’s been no change.

Okay, second follow-up… I deleted all pages except the home page, and deactivated all plugins again. The Vantage home page shows up properly. When I add a new page, put some standard text in, and publish it, it shows up on the homepage replacing the original home page content.

In this case, I created a page, called it “Test”, and put in some text “testing”, set the home page order number to 1, and the Test page order number to 2, and updated. When I refreshed the Vantage home page, the Vantage content was gone, and replaced with “Test” “Testing”. Again I tried setting the Test page Parent to Home, but still no change.

I’m getting the feeling it’s something to do with my lack of understanding of how pages and permalinks work.

Sorry for the replies to self, but I’m hoping this will make it easier for someone to help educate me/fix the issue.

Annnnnd…. I think I might have fixed it for now. The under settings > Reading both front page and posts page were set to “Home”. I created a News page, set the posts page to news, and changed the permalink structure to postname. It seems to be working again now.

Hope this helps some other beginners out, and would still appreciate a better understanding of how and why this works. Links or information would be great.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi shingudaze

Glad to hear you found a solution. Yes, reading settings is the best place to change what’s displayed on the home page :)
