I’ve updated wordpress and the theme and now everything sort of stopped working… Pages i created are still excisting but not reachable (404) and the homepage is broken; all pictures gone (in the hero and slider)… website: http://mi-es.nl/
Hi Nicky,
I’m sorry that you’re experiencing issues after a recent update. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
If that doesn’t help, please reach out to your hosting provider and ask if mod_security (or an equivalent) is enabled for your website. If it is, are you getting blocked by it?
YES, it worked – cleared cookies etc after deleting non-used plugins and now everything is visible 😊
Thanks, Greetz
Oh no, sorry… the images work again – hero – but the pages still give me a 404… Why wont the pages load? :(
i dont have any plugins left except the ‘classic editor’ of wordpress…
i get this message:
Not Found
The requested URL /over/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
The pages are right there, in wordpress, pages called ‘over’ and çontact’.
Hi Nicky,
Great to hear that managed to resolve the issues on your home page! :)
Please navigate to WP AdminSettingsPermalink and save the page. If that doesn’t work, you’re having issues with mod_rewrite. Please reach out to your hosting provider and mention that you’re having an issue with mod_rewrite.
