After migration from local to web host: layouts all wrong

Hi there.

I uploaded my WordPress files and database from a local installation on my Mac to GoDaddy, but the page layouts were all wrong. When I went to the wp-admin Plugins page I saw the list of plugins I’d used, each with a warning that they were missing (when I later went back to this page, that list was gone and it just showed no plugins at all).

So, I went and added all the plugins I had used on my local installation, including Page Builder. The theme is Make by the Theme Foundry.

It still looks all wrong. No change. The url is tsgcloud.com.

In all of this, I updated several plugins, and WordPress somehow updated itself. Maybe that’s causing problems.

Any ideas of how to fix this? Thank you!
Doug

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

Make by Theme Foundry actually includes its own Page Builder, which is probably the one you’re using. You should be able to find support on their site:

@Greg—Yes, the Make theme seems to have a page builder, but I used the SiteOrigin one. I liked its capabilities better.

So, any other thoughts on this problem?

    Thank you!

I looked at my site more closely and see that Page Builder is available when I go to admin > Pages > each page…except my home page. On my home page, the Page Builder tab (next to Visual/Text) is missing—and the rendered page is all messed up, showing the code “\r\n” in many places and much styling missing.

Also, my main nav bar is not showing up until you mouse over it. Strange.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

    Thank you again!

I ended up just making a new page, rebuilt the homepage, and made it the WP Front Page.

The nav bar problem was due to SiteOrigin CSS having a glitch in the syntax of the CSS after the migration. I got it fixed.

    Case closed.
