Adjustable full width page and slider – Vantage

10 years ago · Last reply by londonnet 10 years ago

Hi I am using the vantage theme, page builder and the siteorigin slider.

I would like the page and the slider to automatically size to full width of the browser and for there to be no gap between the menu and the slider. Is this possible?

Thanks

I already have responsive and full width enabled by the way and force page builder full width.

    Stretch home slider also enabled

Hmm so you are supposed to use meta slider to achieve this?

    Hi Londonnet

    Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, using Meta Slider is the easiest way to do this:

If you’ve already setup your home page with the SO Slider and just need a hand removing the menu space and making it full-width, then, please, send a link to your site and we’ll assist from there.

I think I still prefer the SiteOrigin slider as it looks more consistent against the the hero banner used on other pages.

Is there a way to restrict the height of the slider so that all the images are the same height?
Can you add test and buttons in the same way as the hero page?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no way to control the height. It’s been requested and we have it logged as a feature request. Hopefully, something we’ll release soon.

The slider widget has the option for two levels of media, but, unfortunately, no content at this stage:

So maybe I can control the height manually by editing the images and add text at the same time with gimp.

Can I control the gap between the menu and the slider and below the slider as well?

    Thanks

Sure, we can definitely advise on the spacing above and below the widget. If you send a link to your page we can take a look. If you’d like to keep it private, please, use the Private Reply checkbox bottom right.

    Hi Londonnet

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Not possible as the site is not on the internet.

In the past siteorigin has past me some code to drop into the custom css area. Is this possible?

The page is quite simple mash head top a row below with the page slider
Then another row with three circle icon wiglets
Then another row with a visual editor and then a vantage social media

    and thats it
