Additional White space top of Hero Image and below menu header

Hello,

I see this problem has been fixed for a few people although I can not seem to get it to work for me. My friend and I are building a website from scratch for our research lab. We are both PhD students.

Anyhow, we have a “resarch” page where we used the hero widget, however, there remains a white ribbon of space between the widget and the upper menu. I have tried similar codes (See below), but can not seem to get it to work for our research page. Any help would be great!!
