Adding social media buttons in footer

Open 1 reply generalquestion

Hello there!

I’m trying to add social media buttons to my website’s footer. I tried to look it up on youtube, but until now I’m not successful. What I have found so far in the example is the Footer Social Links Section in the widget section.
However, I only see the option footer 1, footer 2 and footer 3… Is there a plugin needed for this?

Thank you in advance!
Denise

    Hi Denise,

Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceWidgets and add the Social Media Buttons widget to your footer (specifically, footer 1). Tutorial videos may not be using the same setup so it’s quite possible you may end up with a slightly different widget area name – that’s totally fine.

If you need a widget that adds social media buttons, we recommend the SiteOrigin Social Media Buttons widget which is included in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Once installed, please navigate to WP AdminPluginsSiteOrigin Widgets to activate the Social Media buttons widget.
