Installer Add snippet of text under image on Home page?
Is it possible to add underneath each post/image the first X amount of words/letters from that post to the homepage?
I’ll try explain that better.
So the homepage at present only displays the featured image and post title of the video. Is it possible to have text taken directly from the post (Say the first 20 characters) to appear under each image on the homepage?

This is a custom development job. I’ve spent some time on it now and have made some progress but it’s not polished. The grid layout is slightly tricky with some elements being absolute positioned.
To try my child theme out:

Install ZIP from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.
The initial styles I’ve added to Appearance > Edit > style.css. Those styles could also be cut and pasted into Appearance > Custom CSS for easier management. Just the two rules after:

Would love to spend more time on this, I’ve unfortunately already spent a little too much on it. https://codeable.io would be our recommend developers for customizations like this.
Ok no problem, thought it might have been something much more simpler and was just a small html code that was needed.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll see if I can play around with what you’ve supplied and come up with something that may work.
