Hello,
Is there a better newsletter than Mail Poet (perhaps a Vantage-specific newsletter)? Or is there anyway to make the newsletter signup widget “pop out” more by adding a border such as the one just under the menu on http://fourhourworkweek.com/overview/ . How does he put that blue and green ribbon around the outside of his signup box?
I have firebug and have inspected the element, but am unsure how to proceed, as I am new to this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Mail Poet is a great plugin. You could also investigate a hosted solution like Mailchimp.
We do have plans to add a newsletter signup widget to our Widgets Bundle plugin, but for now there are lots of other signup options that would work. Maybe you could go with something like the this to add a Mailchimp widget.

If you want a very custom solution and design, then you might be better off having someone on https://codeable.io/ code it up for you.
