Widgetkit module breaks website

Hello I’m looking at a friend’s photography website for her as it needed upgrades and a rejig. She has used Site Origin page builder but when I add a widgetkit module to the home page the site breaks. It takes ages to load and then it appears without the template with the top content repeated…
