How do we enable Search option on site Origins theme?

Hi there A client of ours uses this theme, but it’s a slightly older version I think. How do we get the Search option to show in their menu? It is selected in the checkbox, but it is not showing anywhere. I wondered if (I think 1.4.7) has some other option to enable the search…
