Display static image instead of video in slider (focus theme)

Hi, My portfolio has a lot of video’s but also some static images (fotoshoots) I would like to display in the slider where the videos normally are shown I make a new post as usual, set featured image, but then I’m lost. Maybe its really simple but I couldn’t find any topic on this and…
