Zerif lite and pagebuilder

I am new to WordPress. I am using the Zerif lite theme. I went into customize to have it look the way I want. Is it possible to use pagebuilder to overwrite those settings? How does this work? For example, I would like to replace the background picture I have currently on my home page…
