Hero Widget hides drop-downs from menu

I love the Hero image widget but I cannot figure out how to prevent it from covering the drop-downs from my menu. I saw on one forum response to try adding this: .site-header { z-index: 999 !important; } Unfortunately it did not work for me. Do I need something different based on my theme? (MagazinePro)…
