Carousel to Overlap Slider

Hi, Is it possible to have a Carousel of different posts or static posts overlapping the page slider with a slightly transparent background so the slider is still viewable. I only want the overlap to be at the bottom of the slider, seen it on a few sites that I don't think are using WordPress,…
