Vertical tabs using my own images for the tabs

I am trying to create a vertical tab container using my own button-like images for the tabs while showing only the relevant information/text for that tab. What is the best way to go about this? Can this be done somehow with buttons on the left (in kind of a flow chart list) while showing text…
