header image fails

I am running free Vantage (great choice, works beautifully but..). I want to have a background image for the header. I see that using Appearance>Costomise>Theme Design>Page and putting it there doesn’t work. I found your suggested code header#masthead { background-image: url(“https://fleecejazzorgukremote.local/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/image.jpeg”); } running local, put it in additional css where other little mods have worked,…
