I am trying to edit a siteorigin image in a page. But when I press the edit button the following error pops up.
403 Error
現在、このページへのアクセスは禁止されています。
サイト管理者の方はページの権限設定等が適切かご確認ください。
Its in Japanese but its saying that I dont have access. Nor the rights. Its saying something to check my privileges.
1. According to other threads I should disable all plugins and try again.
Did that, didnt work.
2. Created a new admin user with full privileges.
Didnt work either.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hi Papigiulio,
I’m not 100% sure why this is happening, but I do have a few ideas. Is this happening to a single specific widget or is it happening for all SiteOrigin Image widgets? If a single widget is affected, what’s the difference between that specific widget and any other SiteOrigin Image widget?
Also, would it be possible for you to send me an export for the page where this issue occurred? To do this please open up the page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the reply. NThis is only happening the the widget in that one page. As soon as I edit it, i cant save it because it will show the error.
Any other page I can edit just fine.
Hi Papigiulio,
Can you please send me an export of the page that contains this widget so I can run some tests against it?

i assume the filenames are in Japanese so the page is called ホーム
let me know if you need anything else
thanks
Hi Papigiulio,
Can you please send me an export using Page Builder rather than the WordPress export manner?
To do this please open up the page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download.
Hi Alex,
Im sorry but unfortunately the download button is not working. Ive tried it with multiple pages. Once it contains actual content or an origin widget it will not let me download. If the page is empty it will work however.
Not sure what to do. Ive updated pagebuilder to the latest version btw.
Hi Papigiulio,
Thanks. This suggests something is blocking the request/edit.
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?
This is a private message.
Okay, I made a new account, you should get the email any moment now.
One thing though, the website is in Japanese so hope you can figure it out.
Hi Papigiulio,
Unfortunately, we haven’t received an email from your website yet. Can you please resend it? Sorry about this!

Hi Papigiulio,
Thanks. Unfortunately, I’m not actually sure what your URL is. Can you please provide me with a link to your website?

Hi Papigiulio,
Unfortunately, I’m unable to view the linked login page – I get a 403 error. Do you geo restrict those pages? If so, I’m based in Brisbane, Australia. If not, is there an alternative way to log in for your website?
Sorry that it turns out more difficult than expected. Honestly, I didn't make the website but took over the admin as the owner asked me to update it once in a while.
I can give you my login but I assume that would be the same.
I don't think the pages are geo restricted though, either way I have contacted the provider for help. Ill let you know once I hear something,
Hi Papigiulio,
Unfortunately, this issue will occur regardless of what account I have access to as I’m not able to actually get to the point of login. I would reach out to your hosting provider to see if they have anything in place that allows for this sort of thing – if they do, they should also be able to provide instructions on how to add me to the whitelist temporarily.
I know this doesn’t provide a solid direction, but there are a thousand different ways to restrict that directory so there’s no simple answer (ie. go here and untick X) I can provide. Sorry mate! :(
Hi Alex, Ive changed some settings. Please try to log in again. :)
Hi Papigiulio,
Thanks. This looks to be happening due to your website blocking the widget. I created a backup of affected SiteOrigin Image widget affected and was able to use it on a different website without issue. I would reach out to your hosting provider for assistance.
Hi Alex, sorry im trying to login but looks like my account has been blocked from logging in. Just wanted to say thank you and I will contact the hosting provider.
Hi Papigiulio,
I’m sorry to hear that.
I’m happy I could help. Let me know how you go mate. :)
