The space appeared after I inserted a third slide into the slider, which I removed after I noticed the space but that didn't seem to have solved the issue. When I remove the slider from the homepage completely, the gray area is no longer showing, so I'm guessing the issue here is with the slider.

How can I make the Menu appear under the Masthead Background Image, and the Metaslider right under the Menu. Header padding won't resolve, because it changes the size of the backgroud image.
