Hi,
If somebody haven’t seen this yet, there is a major change coming in WordPress 4.2, which could break some plugins (and potentially even some themes).
If your plugin (or theme) independently stores taxonomy term IDs in the database (eg in the postmeta, usermeta, options tables or a custom table), then you will need to make changes.
You can read about it here: Taxonomy term splitting in 4.2: a developer guide
Will this changes affect Site Origin: plugins & vantage theme ?
Thanx
Hi Nikibilejn
We’re currently doing extensive tests with version 4.2 and have yet to encounter any major issues. All the issues are fairly minor and we’re planning on having them fixed by the time version 4.2 is released. We currently don’t have any known 4.2 issues in Vantage.
As for that taxonomy change – luckily none of our themes or plugins interact directly with the taxonomy table, so we’re not directly affected by this.
Hope that puts your mind at ease :)
Great… :)
