Website loading page

By donkarim07, 9 years ago. Last reply by donkarim07, 9 years ago.

Hello there,

I just finished the building of my website with the vantage theme and the page builder.
It looks absolutely fantastic, but the loading speed is amazingly slow.

The average in the website speed test is around 8 seconds.
I checked other sites and they very fast. I also contacted my host and they say that there are some heavy scripts in the site, which make the loading very slow. My internet speed is 25mb/s, so thats pretty fast.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

To be honest i wanted to build websites from now on with this theme and upgrade to premium for all the extra’s. But website loading speed is very important. I hope this is solvable.

Hope to hear from you guys.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Donkarim

Glad to hear you’re enjoying our theme :)

I had a look at your site using Pingdom’s tools and it looks like most of the loading time is on the main request to the web host. This is taking about 4 seconds when I checked.

By using WordPress, it’s true that there are some heavy scripts, but most modern web hosts should be able to cope with this and generate your site pages quickly. You could try disable a few plugins to see if this speeds things up.

    Hi Greg,

    Thx for the quick reply:)

Yeah i checked on same site.

So, u advise change host? and i saw the custom css takes alot time to load. I placed some codes there which you guys shared on here to make some adjustments., like hex color, menu buttons starting from the right and get rid of some free space between content and footer.

When i delete the custom css it is much faster, but i need those adjustments.

Thx hex color is a longer custom css code. If i upgrade to premium, it doesnt need custom css to change the hex colours and other colours, right? So that should help i think?
