I’ve noticed for some months now that widgets are very slow, sometimes requiring a page refresh to function
Nonetheless, my widgets and website have been working for more than 1100 blog posts over nearly 2 years
Now today, I tried to add a new Editor Widget – tried both Visual Editor and Site Origin Editor
None of the format buttons appear. In Text mode, some code flashed for maybe a tenth-second, then nothing there either
This also applies to widgets that have been in place for over a year
NOTE that all widgets still display when viewing the website
I’ve cleaned the cache, changed browsers, added the line of code mentioned around the web to my wp-config.php file – define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);
Nothing has worked so far
Any ideas?
Cheers, John
UPDATE #1: I have tried standard WordPress themes – problem still exists
UPDATE #2: I have tried disabling ALL plugins except TinyMCE Advanced, Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and SiteOrigin+Widgets
UPDATE #3: I tried adding a title to both the Visual Editor Widget AND the SiteOrigin Editor.
I then saved them, then opeed both to edit again
In each case I was able to add text code…

And in each case the workaround helped me solve my current problem
But it still means neither plugin is working as it should
I'd really appreciate some help with this issue
TIA, John
UPDATE #4: PANIC! I tried adding a Title to one my my existing (paid advertising!) widgets, but it destroyed the content of the widget
