Vantage search results help needed

Hi
First of all fantastic theme!
i noticed the images in the search results from the top menu were huge and the format was one below the other, i followed the instructions here which work on the format

however once they are in that format the images are no longer linked to the products.
Any advise is greatly appreciated

    when the site has no custom CSS the products are linked in the search results, the moment i add custom CSS for layout and image size the products are no longer linked in the search results, hopefully this may clear things up for anyone who can help
