Vantage Premium/Widgets – An open letter/coments & cudos

I’ll post my question in a separate post, but I’d like to write an open letter to sayyou guy’s have done some really nice things with Vantage/Page builder and your widgets. You’ve clearly built these products with love. I’d also like to commend you for you’re pay what you can/what it’s worth in your application pricing strategy. If I can master these prodductsI plan on using it for several other projects (with additional registrations of course.)

From what I’ve been able to figure out so far, it seems as though much of the functionality promised by the more expensive and heavyweight themes are possible with vantage and your widgets (A bit more knowledge required, but a lot less bloat.) When I was looking through many different options, having a product that was easy to use, responsive and quick/light. You’ve done a great job with responsive and quick/light.

I though you might appreciate a couple of comments/suggestions that might help you gain some more accolades/users based on my areas of frustration as a new user (who is not a web ninja, but knows how to google and basic php, CSS, HTML and linux knowledge) trying to get up to speed.

One of the big things that caused me to ditch a lot of other themes was header customization options. Could the following be done without screwing up load times (obviously must be fully responsive).

1. Header flexibility/layout options.

Alternate Header 1
Having the option of both the WordPress site title and Sub title along with a logo on the left side and a graphic on the right side simultaneously.

lllllll GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
lllllll Site Title GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
lllllll Sub title GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Alternate Header 2
Having the ability to have a background image and a foreground image that aligned right lining
up with the right side of the search icon. The only option was either “stretch” a single image
or center (and have a non-matching background color on each side)
———————————————————————————————
| bg color | IMAGE ALIGN RIGHT | bg color |
| bg color | IMAGE ALIGN RIGHT | bg color |
| bg color | IMAGE ALIGN RIGHT | bg color |
———————————————————————————————
I tried doing this with a large image, and it gave a really nice effect as the screen got smaller
the “bg color” sections disappear, and a properly selected image on the right side slides over
very nicely.

As a stopgap, CSS recopies for use with the CSS plugin would really help.

2. Widget documentation.
I couldn’t find anything on the web site to show what most of the widget look like/what the
parameters actually do. A few examples would really help. Some things are pretty obvious, but
others are a huge exercise in frustration just knowing what is possible let alone how to do it.

Thanks again for your great contribution to the web.
