Hi. I’d like ton know if I could use Page builder to do this:

When a user sign in, he’s redirected to a default homepage.
Then, user has a choice of plugins he can drag into the main area (could be a pre-defined grid), or re-order default plugins.

So user would not see all admin widgets, only a selected number of plugins he can drop in the grid. He builds his page using the widgets he wants. Choice is auto saved or can be save with a button in database.

Not sure I’m clear enough so here’s a basic example.

Let’s say the site’s called “news from all animals dot com” When user logs in, he sees the default page which is composed of 2 rows of 3 widgets. One is “elephant facts”, the next one is “bear news” etc…Each widget, as usual, has some options available like “choose the number of news displayed”, check boxes, drop downs, whatever, and of course the content.

In a sidebar, there’s a choice of others like “frog’s world” and “newest flies recipes” . So he can click to close bear news and drag frog’s world and also drag elephant facts to the second row. Then he clicks save my page.

Possible?

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi François

Unfortunately this is not possible with PageBuilder, and I have not had much luck finding any plugin which will allow you do this. With some custom coding you could allow users to select from a set group of predefined sidebars but that is beyond the scope of what we can offer on the forums. If you need this urgently you could try posting on

Sorry we cannot be of more help
