Starting all over

I checked my website mid afternoon today and all the color setting that I spent weeks modifying went to its default colors and screen. Will this happen to your users often because of updating on your part. Such a bummer trying to get it back just right!!! Good thing I save the editor text!, but it still wasn’t right with out haveing to modify the style sheet again. And after all that I checked it five min ago and it happend again. Back to square one I’m beginning to think this theme isn’t worth the headache. What’s the deal!!!
