Social media icons

First off, thanks for the excellent theme. I kicked in for the Premium version to support your wonderful work!

I had two quick questions for you guys:

1: I saw someone requested Tumblr support for the social media icon widget. Is this on the way? Is it possible to add Twitch.tv in as well?

2: Can I somehow embed the social media icons in my navbar next to the search icon? I’d love to have them come down the page as the user scrolls. For that matter, is there some way to use that area as a hovering title bar?

Thanks so much!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Larry

Tumblr support has already been added to the latest version of the Social Media Widget in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. I will mark this thread as a feature request for the Twitch.TV icon. We often look through these threads to get ideas on what improvements to make.

It is possible to add the icons to the menu bar using a child theme but that would not scroll down the page unless you had sticky menu enabled. The best option would be to use a plugin like this one

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/

You can add the Social Media widget to this and then set the fixed position of the widget area to rest in the menu bar.

Let us know how you get on

    Hi there,

Could I please add a request to have the Twitch icon added to the Social Media Widget. I have bought the Vantage Premium theme three times now for different websites to support your work, I think it is excellent.

I use the Social Media Widget on all three sites, but the third one is my own personal site and you guessed it, the primary focus is around my Twitch Channel! :o)

If there is any chance this could get bumped to the top of the list I’d be grateful, its was asked for 5 months ago now and Twitch is absolutely massive in the community.

    Thanks very much.

    Kind regards,

    James

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi JimboG

As a big fan of Twitch, I’m glad to say that Twitch is available in the latest version of the Widgets Bundle plugin. I think it’s actually been in there for quite some time now. You can download the plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/

Just install it, then navigate to Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets in your WordPress admin and enable the SiteOrigin Social Media Buttons widget. Add this to your pages and sidebars and enjoy :)
