Hi there

I love my slider feature on my home page. The only thing is people consistently tell me that they keep clicking the text expecting it to to to the page. At present only the image clicks through to the page it’s advertising.

I’ve looked in the slider page settings and can’t see any way of making the text link through also. Can you help please? I really need the text to link through but I don’t want to lose the slider….

    Hi Lyn

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without a fair amount of custom coding. This is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on the forums, but you could hire a developer to implement this for you.

    We highly recommend using https://codeable.io/.

    Apologies

    Hi Magus

Thanks for the reply. I have to say, I think it’s a real weakness of the design. Out of all the people who checked my website, all of them clicked on the text to get to the page they wanted to see. They report being really confused at first when it didn’t work.
After purchasing the theme for the sliders it isn’t working the way I need it to. I might have to install a different theme over it. Shame but I can’t think of another option.
    Thanks
    Lyn

    Hi Lyn

Unfortunately this is an issue with the Nivo Slider plugin we use for the main slider in this theme.

If you do decide to change themes we can offer you a free transition to our Vantage theme. It will require some work to transfer the content as Pitch uses custom post types for it’s content but we can help with setting that up.

Please let us know what you decide to do.

    Hi Magus

Thanks for this. I’ll have a look at the Vantage theme and get back to you. Really appreciate the offer.
