Seo doesn’t work with page builder.

By Rick Garner, 10 years ago. Last reply by Weed TV, 10 years ago.

Why doesn’t Page Builder work with Yoast SEO? Text and HTML screen is empty when I use Page builder? Total novice here, I just learned how to do this stuff on my own recently. Love this, can’t put it down!

    Hi Rick

Thanks for your positive feedback. I use WordPress SEO and Page Builder quite regularly. Can you explain what you mean by the Text and HTML screen is empty when you use Page Builder?

(Just to confirm, when you use Page Builder it’s best to only work in the Page Builder tab. In other words it’s best not to edit content you created in Page Builder in the Visual or Text editor tabs).

I think what he means is that on Yoast SEO it confirms if your keyword is found in different aspects of your post. I think I am suffering from the same problem. The following is taken from my own Yoast SEO analysis of my post using just the pagebuilder. The posts content is in the ‘html/text box’ widget that the page builder offers.

    Article Heading: Yes (1)
    Page title: Yes (1)
    Page URL: Yes (1)
    Content: No
    Meta description: Yes (1)

Even adding the keyword to the ‘html/text box’ widget it does not register with the Yoast SEO. I know this is not my own thread but thought I would try and help out and give more of an insight. Hope this is not a problem and hopefully can solve the same issue in one thread.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hey John. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I’m able to get a Content: Yes on my side using the Black Studio Visual Editor widget: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/. Once it’s installed search for Visual Editor when adding a widget. Can you give it a go and let me know if it resolves your problem.

I also have a similar problem. All my pages have content inside the text box of the Page Builder and SEO by Yoast plugin does not recognize text contained in there. The webmaster does not allow me to enter content in the text area to generic worpress. What can I do? Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi Jordan. Please see my previous comment. Use the Black Studio Visual Editor widget instead of the text widget: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/.

Hi Andrew. I too am looking to remedy relative to the same Jordan points out “content inside the text box of the Page Builder and SEO by Yoast plugin does not recognize text contained in there.” Likewise, as John points out:

    Article Heading: Yes (1)
    Page title: Yes (1)
    Page URL: Yes (1)
    Content: No
    Meta description: Yes (1)

Per your guidance, I activated the plugin. I see “Visual Editor” [Appearance > Widgets] under the list of “Available Widgets”. And, to the Right side of this list I see “Sidebars”.

As the Admin, if I am in the “Right Place”, then here’s where I begin to get lost. Its not clear to me, how to go about using this Visual Editor instead of the text widget as you suggest. I see Main Sidebar, with 5 widgets added. I see Top Bar (Above Header), also Header Right, Footer (3 widgets columns), and Lower Footer… each of these four sidebars have no widget added to it.

Can you advise on the next steps how I go about using this widget relative to enabling SEO by Yoast to see Content… per using Page Builder, creating Pages.
