I’m using Origami Premium.
One: I cant seem to remove the unnecessary searchbox from the header, any help with that would be greatly appreciated.
Two: I have inserted a facebook social media icon into the footer, via ‘text widget’ using html, however it’s not showing up on the desktop site at all – yet it does show up on the mobile site.
If I hover the mouse over the area it should be on desktop site , I can click on it, and it takes me to the facebook page so its obviously working ok, yet the icon just is not showing.

Thanks for reaching out.
1. Appearance > Theme Settings > Display > Header Search: un-check that box.
2. I can see your FB like button in OS X Chrome. Is there any chance you’re running a browser plugin that is blocking that on desktop? I’m running Ad Blocker so I don’t think it’ll be that one but it’s possible another extension could be blocking the button.
Brilliant. I cant I believe I missed that. Everything becomes a blur after a while. Excuses.
Anyway, very good point, running adblocker also.
Just checked now, and I’ve had it set on hiding social media buttons also of course! Disabled it for my site.

Awesome, glad you were able to resolve on both fronts. I forgot Ad Block had the social media option.
