Regular blog listing followed by page builder for unique layout

I found it really hard to title this question, so here’s hoping this makes sense.

I want to have the opening page on a WordPress site that does the following:
Top: The latest blog posting from a specific category to appear in it’s totality, pictures and all
Below that: A series of items that I’ve found best to build in Page Builder

I don’t know how to combine these two worlds. Is there a way I can build this page using page builder to bring up that opening post?

My experiences so far is that this is a tremendous resource. I suspect only MY limitations are keeping me from accomplishing this.

Hi Ed
You can do this with the Post Loop widget to list your blog post. Add the Post Loop widget to the page in question and use the last field called Additional to list something like:
cat=x
Where x is the ID of the category you’d like to use.
