I use various recent posts plugins for my home static page. All have issues. How about building one that meets all the needs.

Featured image with any size and any plcement
Complete control over text size, font, color
Exerpt for letters and words
A Kewl Read More
A good looking archive layout

    Hi Bill,

    The issue here is that our current system relies on the theme to have decent post loops set in place as we piggyback off them for better support.

    With that said, a post loop builder does sound like a good idea so I’m definitely going to log that as a feature request.
