Problem with Slider on Vantage Theme homepage

Hi, good evening

I have cropped an image to the recommended Vantage Theme dimensions, 1080 x 420. However, after loading it onto my site, the top of the image keeps getting ‘sliced’ off by the themes menu bar; this looks bad as it is slicing off the top of the little girls head!

I’m using MetaSlider, the page is fine in a minimised window, however does not seem to want to play ball when the window is maximised. I am experiencing the issue across Chrome, IE and Firefox.

Please help, I’m been searching for a solution for hours.
