Hello,
I’m noticing a very bizarre bug with the behavior of the Post Loop widget. I’m using it in two places on my site– one on the home page, the other in the widget sidebar for the rest of the site.
On the home page, it displays the 8 most recent posts and works fine.
On the sidebar, it displays only the 1 most recent post. But, if I click on the arrow, it will pull up posts written previously in chronological order, even those that have not been officially published!
Both widgets have ALL the same settings, with the exception of number of posts to display– one shows 8, the other shows 1.
(Carousel/post/[count]/date/descending/default/blank).
I’m still on 1.1.12 of Vantage and WordPress 3.9.1 so I don’t know if it’s been addressed in the latest update (can’t find release notes anywhere), but thought you should know about this behavior if you were unaware.
Thanks!
Hi Strika
Thanks for your thread. Do you perhaps still have this up live for viewing?
Thanks.
Yep. http://www.atglearning.com/global
Thanks.
The sidebar carousel loop showing one post at a time is the behaviour I’d expect, given the space available.
During local testing we’re not seeing that widget display posts not yet published. What you can do to try troublshoot this is:
To try troubleshoot this please try temporarily de-activating all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if there is a change.
If that doesn’t work try remove all sidebar widgets besides the Post Loop widget and see if there is a change.
If you do see a change in either case, re-activate plugins one at a time or re-add widgets one at a time while checkin the issue.
