Seeing that there isn’t one, I saw another post (https://siteorigin.com/thread/audiopodcasting/#comment-66518), and wanted to ask, is there a widget we could insert a shortcode into? I have the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin, and I wanted to use SitePlugin’s ability to organize a page…
Can this be done? Am I missing something?
Thanks!
Hi Chris
The easiest way to insert a shortcode is by adding a Visual Editor widget. This amazingly useful widget gives you a fully WordPress visual editor that you’ll properly process any shortcodes you add to it.
Let us know how it goes :)
YES! A couple of notes:
This is a version of PAgeBuilder that is included with a template purchase from ThinkUpThemes, so I used the “TinyMCE” widget.
I figured out I cannot place the short code that is generated from the podcast episode where it says ” Get Shortlink”; rather, as stated on Hugh Lashbrooke’s page (http://docs.hughlashbrooke.com/document/podcast_episode/), it has to be formatted like this string:
Where the “123” is replaced by the number that is generated by the get shortlink. The placement of the “content=” tag determines which order those items appear, title, player, details & excerpt.
Question: I got PageBuilder from ThinkUpThemes, which I get the feeling is an older version – any reason to update? Will it break the functionality I already have with the template?
